The Counties Manukau District Health Board (CMDHB) is responsible for funding and providing health and disability services for the 430,000 residents of Manukau City, Franklin and Papakura districts.
Counties Manukau District Health Board's funder arm is responsible for planning and funding health services, including primary, secondary and tertiary care services, Maori health and Pacific health services, Mental health and services for Older People, for it's resident population.
CMDHB through it's provider arm provides a wide range of specialist secondary services, a selected range of community services, as well as a number of niche specialist tertiary services.

Age Concern promotes the rights and wellbeing of older people, koroua and kuia in the Counties Manukau region. It is a not-for-profit, non-government organisation that provides health promotion programmes, accredited visiting service, mobile community offices, community advocacy and Elder Abuse and Neglect Prevention Services for older people, their families, whanau and carers in the Counties Manukau region. They also offer wheelchairs for hire on a daily or weekly basis and are assessing agents for Total Mobility Transport Subsidy.

Alzheimers Counties Manukau is a NGO providing services to people of all ages diagnosed with dementia, their carers and families in Counties Manukau.
Alzheimers Counties Manukau provides a home visiting service by qualified social workers and allied health professions; specialist dementia assessments, carer education training four times per year, monthly support groups for people with dementia; carers, and families; social groups for people with dementia, their carers and families; bi-monthly outings for younger people diagnosed with dementia; weekly activities programme for people with dementia.
